
TOGNOCCHI Bianca,

Born in Como, Bianca Tognocchi graduated from the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan and is a winner of prestigious competitions such as the Tebaldi Competition, Grand Prix de l’Opera, As.Li.Co and many others. Her career has developed on important Italian and international stages. Since 2010 she has sung for OperaLombardia, performing roles such as Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Giulia (La scala di seta), Ninetta (La finta semplice). She made her debut at the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo in Lucia di Lammermoor, in its original version. Her first major roles in Italy included Sandmännchen/Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel at the Teatro Regio in Turin and Nannetta in Falstaff at the Ravenna Festival under the baton of Riccardo Muti. She participated in the world premiere of Adriano Guarnieri’s L’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle at the Ravenna Festival and the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. She also played Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore at Teatro alla Scala in 2015. She subsequently performed Aminta (Il Re Pastore) and Norina (Don Pasquale) at the Opéra de Chambre de Genève. In 2018, she sang her first Gilda (Rigoletto) at Malmö Opera and Adina (L’Elisir d’amore) at Sejong Arts Center in Seoul. A particularly significant moment in her career was her debut in the role of Amina in La Sonnambula at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, which received great acclaim and solidified her status as a specialist in the bel canto repertoire. Her collaboration with the Tiroler Festspiele has seen her starring in prominent roles, including Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Musetta (La Bohème), Elisa (Il re pastore), and the impervious coloratura role of Die Nachtigall in Die Vögel by W. Braunfels. From 2018 to 2020, she was a member of the ensemble of the Oper Leipzig – Gewandhaus, where she performed Gilda (Rigoletto), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Lucia di Lammermoor, Hüter der Schwelle (Die Frau ohne Schatten), Frasquita (Carmen), the Italienische Sängerin (Capriccio) and Waldvogel (Siegfried). Since 2020, she has been a member of the soloist ensemble of the Frankfurt Opera, where she has sung such roles as Gilda (Rigoletto), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Madama Brillante (L’italiana in Londra), Olga (Fedora), Despina (Così fan tutte), and Norina (Don Pasquale). She made her successful debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf in Lucia di Lammermoor. And at the Darmstadt Theater also in the same role. She also participated in major concerts at the Berliner Philharmonie and the Philharmonie Essen, and sang Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 and Carmina Burana at the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid. She performed Leïla in Les pêcheurs de perles in concert.
