PATELMO Patrizia,
mezzosoprano

Winner of the Milan As.li.co. in 1993, of the XXXV International Competition for Verdian Voices in1995, world finalist in the Pavarotti International Voice Competition in 1995.  Patrizia Patelmo graduated in singing  and piano.  She specialized at the Chigiana Music Academy in Siena with Carlo Bergonzi and in Milan with Renata Scotto, LeylaGencer and Franca Mattiucci.  She interpreted Azucena at the Bregenz Festspiele, at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin , at the Heidenheim Opernfestspiele, at the Connecticut Opera in Hartford, at theTheater of Mannheim and at the Gars Open Air.he has held the role of Amneris several times: at the Connecticut Opera, at the National Auditorium in Madrid, in Portsmouth in Virginia, at the Opernfestspiele in Heidenheim.  Her repertoire is vast and ranges from Opera to Sacred Music up to Contemporary and Chamber Music. She debuted in many roles, including Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera at the Florida Grand Opera in Miami, at the Teatro Regio in Parma, at the Palafenice in Venice, at the Opera Teatre in Metz and at the Colon  in Bogotà; Frugola in Il tabarro in Milan conducted by Maestro Chailly, at the ZurichOpera Fidalma in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Ortrud in Lohengrin at the Teatro Regio in Parma and at the Comunale in Piacenza, Santuzza much appreciated at the Bellini Theater in Catania and at the Spiros Argiris Festival in Sarzana. She has been Margherita in I quattro Rusteghi at the Donizetti Theater, Beppe in L’Amico Fritz at the Coccia Theater in Novara, La Strega in Haensel und Gretel and Sara in Roberto Devereux at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Fenena at Mega Event in Rimini and at the Politeama of Lecce, Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Carmen in Bari and Cremona.  She performed in the San Carlo Theater in Naples, the MET, the Comunale of Bologna, the Fraschini of Pavia, the Sociale of Como, the Comunale of Cagliari, the Verdi of Trieste, the Accademia Santa Cecilia, Tenerife.  She currently teaches singing at the Conservatory  “G.Verdi” of Milan.
